  My Life in Horses: Part Two: Discovering Dreamscapes by Jan Ruth My rating: 5 of 5 stars As the name suggests, Discovering Dreamscapes, is the sequel to My Life In Horses – Disappearing Dreamscapes. As the author explains, it is a 'collection of vignette-style diary entries'. Each season's events are highlighted and the entire novel spans two years. I really enjoyed reading Discovering Dreamscapes. It is funny, adventurous, warming and so down to earth! Pony and rider have such a good bond, and the pony's character really shines through. He can be so cheeky but, on the other hand, is trustworthy, sure-footed and, obviously, loves his mum. This story is told with joviality and wit and although the Covid 19 pandemic is in full swing, nothing can distract from the beauty of the Welsh countryside and the excitement of the Lakeland Trail trek. Not forgetting, of course, the occasional but inevitable interaction with the wild Carneddau ponies. It all makes for a pleasura
